Hi there! I’m Amber...
… an Australian travel writer who's called London home for the last ten years.
I created this site around one very specific obsession: the art of the short trip. Living in London means I can board a plane on a Friday evening and wake up somewhere completely different on Saturday morning — and after ten years of doing exactly that, I've visited more than 50 countries and nearly every corner of Europe.
48 Hours in Europe is built for people who travel like I do: full-time jobs, limited annual leave, and an endless list of places to see. Every guide on this site is designed to help you make the most of a long weekend — where to stay, what to eat, how to structure your time so you don't waste a single hour of it.
The site attracts hundreds of thousands of readers a year, has been featured in BBC News, and has a track record of brand partnerships across travel and lifestyle. I write every word myself, and I only recommend places I've actually been.
If you're a brand, tourism board, or PR and you'd like to work together — whether that's a press trip, sponsored content, or a partnership — I'd love to hear from you. You can reach me at hi@48hoursineurope.com or via the contact form.
Not sure where to start? Some of my most-read guides: Lisbon, the Albanian Riviera, Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Cinque Terre.
